Hartzel Marine Service

Boat Repair & Diagnostics

Diagnostics, mechanical, electrical, fuel and cooling repair for fishing boats, pontoons, runabouts and used trade-ins.

About this service

When something on the boat isn't right, we want to know what's wrong before you do. Our shop runs a full diagnostic pass, then writes a clear estimate before we touch anything. You see the work, and the price, before we start it.

We run mechanical, electrical, fuel-system and cooling-system diagnostics in our Dunnville shop and write the estimate before any work begins.

Repair jobs are logged against the hull so next year's tech already knows what we touched, what we replaced, and what's due.

Won't-starts, overheats and no-spark issues jump the queue during the May–August window. Call us, don't email, when it's urgent.

FAQ

Common questions

How long does a typical diagnostic take?

In-season target is 48 hours from drop-off to a written estimate. Out-of-season is usually same-week. Emergency no-starts get priority during the May–August window.

Do you give estimates before you start work?

Always. The diagnostic itself is a one-hour shop-labour charge, and that gets you the diagnosis plus an itemized written estimate. We do not start the repair without your sign-off.

What kinds of boats do you repair?

Outboards, sterndrives and inboards on fishing boats, runabouts, pontoons and aluminum boats. If you are not sure we can help, call us. We will tell you honestly.

Where are you located?

Our shop is at 1066 Broad St E in Dunnville, Ontario. Most customers come from Haldimand, Norfolk and Niagara.
